  •  Back up your work webmail

    Some students have found that Hotmail is sometimes blocked by the college filter so they aren't able to back up their work by emailing it to college.  Some students have had memory stick failure and no backup!  Remember that you can now log onto your college email by using webmail.  It won't ask you for anything other than your normal user name and password and you can attach files to keep them safe and get them when you need them.

    Go to:  https://webmail.abingdon-witney.ac.uk and take away the worry about losing your work from a failed memory stick or lack of access to Hotmail.  Try it!

  • Remote access to your documents

    If your virus software is up to date, you can remotely access the college network and upload and download documents by going to https://remote.abingdon-witney.ac.uk and logging on using your normal college details.  If your software isn't up to date, or you are using a computer with Linux, you can access the area and download documents but not upload.

    A step by step guide to doing this is available on the college intranet student and staff pages.  If you have any difficulty, please go to the IT Service Desk on your campus.
